Company History

 Sound Product Marketing,inc
was formed in June 1994 by Steve Wheeler and Tom Provost.

Our vision was to ultilize their 30 years of combined Territory experience to create a rep company which would offer first class service and rapid response for both their Customers and Vendors. Part of this commitment has been to offer a full time support staff so customers and vendors can get a live person on the phone during normal business hours, and also to benefit from the best quality products in class, great technical support and substantial training opportunities.

Over the years SPM has grown and changed as the Consumer Electronics business has evolved.

In 2001 SPM entered the C.I. distribution business supporting a small, but growing number of Custom Installers. This was initiated in a 500 square foot office with a 100 square foot warehouse.

Today SPM is proud to support a 5,000 square foot Office Warehouse complex stocking everything needed for a complete Home Theater/Whole House AV installation, including lighting control, whole house automation and digital convergence.

Recently SPM underwent a full re-work and upgrade of www.spmreps.com. The new web site offers a tremendous amount of product information, dealer training tools, pricing and up to date industry information.

We now have our Albany based C.I.Training Center which allows our Vendors a great place to meet and train groups of Installers with "live systems" and samples.
